In order to implement the spirit of the school discipline construction promotion meeting, to promote the college discipline construction work, the evening of April 3, the School of Chinese Literatures and Languages held a discipline construction work conference in the Chengguan Campus Mingdao Building 201 conference room, members of the College Academic Committee, heads of Chinese Language and Literature and Art, and members of the College Party and government team attended the meeting, which was chaired by the Academic Committee Chairman of the College, Professor Gu Shicang.
At the meeting, Dean Li Lifang conveyed the spirit of the school’s discipline construction promotion meeting to the participants, explained the school’s discipline construction policy and the development of the status quo, problems and development expectations.She also combined with the results of the assessment of the discipline of Chinese Language and Literature, International Chinese Language Education and the analysis of the report, arranged for the next stage of work. She urged the college to attach great importance to the top and bottom of the college, to focus on efforts and pay close attention to the implementation of the construction of discipline.
Wang Daqiao, the head of the College’s Art Discipline, and Liu Wenjiang, director of the Institute of Drama, Film and Television Literature, focused on the current development of the Art Discipline. Vice President Guo Maoquan reported on the special review of the Master’s Degree Authorisation Points of the First-Level Art Discipline. The members of the Academic Committee put forward suggestions and opinions on the construction and development of Chinese Language and Literature and Arts, and held an in-depth discussion.
Party Secretary Han Jie concluded that the school has put forward new requirements and goals for discipline construction. Based on the current situation and reality of the school's development, the college should continuously strengthen its awareness of discipline construction, leverage its disciplinary strengths, refine its disciplinary characteristics, and effectively implement discipline development plans. Additionally, it is necessary to identify weaknesses, address shortcomings, and make continuous progress to prepare thoroughly for the next round of discipline evaluations.
