On April 29th, the School of Chinese Language and Literature held the 2021 Postgraduate Integrity Education Conference in Yifu Liberal Arts Building in order to strengthen the postgraduate's academic ethics, establish a sense of integrity and cultivate academic norms. All academic postgraduates attended the conference, and Vice President Guo Maoquan gave a special report on postgraduate academic integrity education.

    Guo Maoquan emphatically preached the spirit of the relevant documents such as Several Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of Academic Morality, Academic Standards for Philosophy and Social Science Research in Colleges and Universities, Measures for Handling False Dissertations in Colleges and Universities, Measures to Prevent and Deal with Academic Misconduct in Colleges and Universities, Academic Ethics Standards for Postgraduates in Lanzhou University, Rules for Investigating and Measures for Handling Academic Misconduct in Lanzhou University, and Measures for Handling False Dissertations in Lanzhou University. The relevant norms of graduate students' academic achievements are explained in detail, and through warning education cases, all graduate students are required to consciously abide by academic ethics and academic norms, respect the academic achievements of others, and be honest and trustworthy graduate students in the new era.

    Guo Maoquan explained the newly formulated Regulations on the Training of Postgraduates with Academic Degrees in Lanzhou University, the revised training plan and the standard of degree granting, and asked postgraduates to understand the changes of academic credits, attach importance to process training, actively participate in various academic activities and academic discussions, and comprehensively improve their scientific research and innovation ability and academic exchange ability.

    This education conference is one of a series of activities of "Academic Integrity Education Program of the School of Chinese Language and Literature" in 2021. It aims to further promote the academic moral education of the School of Chinese Language and Literature, strictly discipline academic norms, standardize academic behaviors, correct academic atmospheres, strengthen academic integrity, encourage graduate students to stick to their initial intentions, seek truth from facts and study rigorously, and build a defense line between academic integrity and academic ethics for further improving the quality of graduate education. Previously, the School of Chinese Language and Literature also gave special lectures for doctoral students and graduate students with professional degrees.
