On the morning of September 10th, Han Jie, Party secretary , Li Lifang, Dean of the School of Chinese Languages and Literatures, and office staff visited the homes of retired teachers Huang Xiangling, Zhang Chongchen and Wu Wen respectively, and extended festive congratulations to the teachers on behalf of the School.

    The leaders of the School inquired in detail about the physical and living conditions of retired teachers, listened carefully to the opinions and suggestions put forward by everyone on the development of the School, thanked the gentlemen for their outstanding contributions to the cause of the School for a long time, and wished them good health and happy lives.

    Huang Xiangling, an 88-year-old teacher, thanked the leaders of the School for their special visit. He reviewed his work experience affectionately and expressed his deep feelings for the overall victory of our country in getting rid of poverty under the strong leadership of the Party. Zhang Chongchen, the teacher who was at the age of seventy, has been writing incessantly since his retirement. He has published academic works such as Research on Chu Ci Culture, Collected Essays of Ancient Cultural, and is still working intensively in the field of ancient literature. Wu Wen, the former vice president of the School of Chinese Languages and Literatures, is still very concerned about the development of the School, affirming the remarkable achievements made by  the School in recent years, and putting forward some suggestions on the goal of interdisciplinary construction.

    During the condolence visit, the leaders of the School said that the School of Chinese Languages and Literatures should do a better job of inheriting teachers' ethics in the future, carry forward the fine tradition of running schools and excellent educational resources, do a better job of retired teachers with more care and affection, and do a good job of service guarantee, so as to make the lives of gentlemen more secure, comfortable and warm-hearted.

    After visiting retired teachers, the leaders of the School had a cordial exchange with Associate Professor Yu Zhongjie, a new teacher, in Conference Room 315, Yifu Liberal Arts Building, and asked him carefully about his post adaptation and living conditions. Yu Zhongjie thanked the School for the care, and said that while doing his own major well,as one of the first class teachers of the 2021 academic graduate students who settled in Yuzhong Campus, he would definitely make efforts to do a good job in class construction, strengthen the connection and communication between the undergraduate and postgraduate, and make positive achievements for the talent training of the School of Chinese Languages and Literatures.

    Warm greetings and blessings encourage the teachers of the School to remain true to their original aspiration and keep their mission firmly in mind, devote himself wholeheartedly to teaching and scientific research, thus contributing the wisdom and strength to the development of the School of Chinese Languages and Literature
