The 5th Next Wave Awards International Student Documentary Competition was held on 13th December, 2018  a short documentary ,won Audience Award , which was shot by Dugkartsho, Fan Qi, Hai xiufang, Wei Hongli who majored in Literature of Theatre Film & Television in School of Chinese Language and Literatures during college years.

    The 5th Next Wave Awards International Student Documentary Competition had collected 785 films from 252 universities in 36 countries and regions ,among which 29 films had reached the next round competition, and the competition had set up eight prizes. Dugkartsho and yak as a shortlisted documentary in 2017 was shown in Tencent Video like all the other student shortlisted documentaries. Finally, because its web hits stand first, Dugkartsho and yak won Audience Award so that Hai xiufang and Fan Qi as creative team members invited by the organizing committee went to Guangzhou to collect the prize.

    Next Wave Awards is an important part of Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival and is the highest standard documentary competition for college students in China.
